How would you describe your approach to nutrition counseling?
I feel like my approach to nutrition counseling is a very compassionate, non-judgmental, individualized, "call it as I see it" approach. I like to use humor when appropriate when having to have those hard conversations about how to navigate challenges that often arise in client recovery.
Which avenues of dietetics do you feel most passionate about pursuing?
I'm very passionate about Womxn's Health, especially PCOS. I also enjoy providing clinical supervision to my peers and applying my CEDS credential to support individuals with eating and body image concerns.
If you were to have any other profession other than Registered Dietitian, what would it be and why?
This isn’t a very popular occupation anymore (thanks COVID), but I have always loved planning trips with friends. I love an itinerary! What to see, where to eat, what to do, you name it! So, I guess a Trip Advisor. Is that even a thing anymore, ha?
Where can we find you when you're not in client sessions?
Mostly outside whether it be taking walks downtown, Carrier park or the River Arts District. I enjoy hiking and kayaking in the warmer weather. You can also most definitely find me relaxing with my cat, Tipsy, watching all the shows on NETFLIX.
