MS, RD, LDN, Workplace Wellness Coordinator, Outpatient Dietitian
I am one of the fortunate few who was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. After high school, I set out East for Raleigh, N.C. to attend North Carolina State University, where I interned with the Sports Dietitian for NCSU Athletics and worked for University Recreation. After earning a B.S. in Nutrition Science with a Minor in Sports Science, I continued my education and earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Meredith College. Following graduation, I interned at the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED) before moving back home to the Mountains to complete my Dietetic Internship.
I have always had a passion for baking and cooking, and I enjoy experimenting with different foods and testing out recipes for my family. I combine my interest in sports and movement with the science of nutrition by teaching about proper fueling techniques for optimal athletic performance as well as assisting others in creating a positive relationship with food, body, and movement.
I am in the process of becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) and I currently serve as a group facilitator for Carolina Resource Center for Eating Disorders (CRC for ED), a local non-profit. I combine my love of food, movement, health, and interacting with others while at Nutritious Thoughts, LLC.
I specialize in the areas of chronic disease, sports nutrition, disordered eating, eating disorders, weight concerns, and mindful & intuitive eating.
