Outpatient Dietitian

How would you describe your approach to nutrition counseling?

I incorporate a holistic approach intro my nutrition counseling under the framework of Health at Every Size (HAES). It is important to me that all of my clients feel heard and accepted in a judgment-free zone when working together. I believe that building a foundation with my clients based on trust and respect is crucial for positive change.

Which avenues of dietetics do you feel most passionate about pursuing?

I am passionate about pursuing HAES and intuitive eating approaches with my clients. While I have a background in infant, child, and maternal health and nutrition, I feel drawn to help individuals from all walks of life tap into the their own intuition about how to find that perfect balance for their own health and wellness. I am incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to help those who are looking to make peace with their bodies and the foods they eat!

If you were to have any other profession other than Registered Dietitian, what would it be and why?

In my earlier years after high school, I started college as an art major, but then switched when I discovered the rewarding field of nutrition and dietetics. That being said, if I were to work in any other field, it would absolutely default back to art. Anything I can do with my hands from sketching, to sewing, are all a great source of joy and creative expression for me.

Where can we find you when you're not in client sessions?

When I’m not in client sessions, you will likely find me someplace outdoors! I love being in the sun, whether it be gardening, walking, or kicking around the soccer ball with my family. Some other things I enjoy are yoga, quilting, and cooking yummy foods with my family, including two little chefs in training!
