Juanita Gratowski-Groleau

Juanita Groleau, MA, RD, LDN

Outpatient Dietitian

(She/Her/Hers)

How would you describe your approach to nutrition counseling?

Compassionate, individualized and creative. Together we will learn how to build a positive, trusting relationship with food and movement, specifically suited to your lifestyle and your body. I believe that the foods we choose are meant to provide our bodies with nourishment and, just as importantly, with pleasure and therefore should not be approached with rigid diet rules, restrictions or stress. My purpose is to provide clients with the practical knowledge and confidence to achieve sustainable wellness befitting of their lifestyle and personal goals.

Which avenues of dietetics do you feel most passionate about pursuing?

My passion for dietetics is founded in the opportunities it provides to grow within the field with continuous education. As well as the privilege to contribute to community health with meaningful relationships that create balanced, grounded and sustainable wellness. I am dedicated to making health inclusive and achievable for you, for me and for generations to come.

If you were to have any other profession other than Registered Dietitian, what would it be and why?

Cafe & Coffee shop owner! I am an enthusiast of all things tea, coffee and baking. I love the idea of designing a beautiful space full of house plants, trinkets and good tunes as well as creating new recipes for all sorts of drinks and treats.

Where can we find you when you're not in client sessions?

Enjoying quality time with friends and family! I love exploring my community through its coffee shops, diners and mom & pop style shops. I am always searching for new ways to bring joy into movement and can often be found in exercise classes with friends, climbing, running, hiking or walking the beach. While at home I am likely working on one of my various DIY projects or expressing my creativity through various mediums of arts and crafts.
