Joyful Movement Education

(4-weeks)

Throwing the phrase “No pain, no gain” out the window. Learn the difference between movement and exercise and the importance of finding joy in the ways we choose to be active. This series will provide education on how to create a balanced movement routine that won’t feel obligatory or frustrating.

Mindful Eating Education

Start learning about intuitive and mindful approaches to food. This series provides a forum for growth and healing by introducing and simplifying the principals of intuitive and mindful eating. These principals will help you explore your hunger and fullness, learn your eating style and build mindful eating techniques in a way that will eventually become a natural part of your daily life.

Blending of Food Science and Food Peace

(6-weeks)

This group is ideal for individuals who have completed the Food Science group and are ready to start integrating both food science and intuitive eating into their daily lives. We will review some basic nutrition science and incorporate additional skills related to mindful eating, environmental and visual aspects of food, and how to integrate fun and excitement into meal times.

Nourishment

Nourishment Group provides space for you to explore how life and nutrition parallel is this challenging culture surrounded by diets, weight loss and the strive for “perfection.” By exploring Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as well as our current needs and surroundings, we will dig deeper into our relationship with food. Connect how you nourish yourself and how you live your life while bring awareness and understanding to each of our unique relationships.

Embody

Explore the process of weaving mindfulness into movement. Through this dynamic series, Lindsey will guide you through the process of discovering the types of movement that bring you joy. This series will involve independent as well as group exploration of movement to deepen our understanding of what it truly means to listen to our bodies.

Mindful Eating Experiential

This experiential series is designed for those who are educated in mindful and intuitive eating and are looking for assistance in implementing that knowledge in their daily lives. During this six-week series, we will experiment with a myriad of different mindful eating activities and practices that we will learn to individualize to suit our own eating styles to better nourish ourselves.

Kitchen Empowerment

Do you feel like your lack of knowledge or practice in the kitchen is holding you back from cooking and eating the foods that you like? Join Margaret in the Nutritious Thoughts kitchen for 8 weeks of learning and practicing the basic kitchen skills and recipes. Leave with the confidence and abilities to succeed on your own.

Food Science

Feeling bombarded with different diet messages? Whether it’s the latest trend, elimination diet, or cleanse, these types of ideas can leave us frustrated, guilty, and even shameful about food choices. This group is designed to help clear marketing messages and help you return to the science of how food functions in the body. Reconnect with food while connecting with others.

Nutrition Connection

Connection. Something we do every day with our peers, family, friends, pets and ourselves. We hear the term self-care all day every day. But, what if nutrition and how we nourish ourselves was a form of self-care we could do every day, multiple times per day? Nutrition Connection helps you discover messages or “phantoms” you continuously tell yourself about food, body and self; both positive and not. By exposing these phantoms we begin to extract negative thoughts and replace them with positive.

Nutrition Support Group

Ongoing Evening. 18+. Gender inclusive.

This group will be held Thursdays 6-7pm

We invite pro-recovery adults to join our FREE Nutrition Support Group designed to build a strong community around recovery from an eating disorder, body inclusivity and food positivity. Designed to evolve and adapt each week to better suit the group needs.

PCOS Education and Support Group

Seasons can bring many unique challenges. Come join us for a 3-hour workshop focusing on making the seasons meaningful and memorable. Learn how to take part in all that the changing seasons has to offer in a mindful way that nourishes the body and soul! We will delve into a variety of topics including coping strategies for dealing with stress, the importance of self-care, and removing anxiety related to celebratory eating occasions.

We specialize in Eating Concerns (eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, emotional eating, chronic dieting, weight & body Image concerns), Nutrition for Substance Use Recovery, Nutrition for Competitive & Recreational Athletes, Chronic Health Concerns (i.e. diabetes, digestive issues, food allergies, depression, anxiety), Women’s Health (i.e. PCOS, gestational/hormonal & reproductive nutrition).
